WATER RATES INCREASE AS OF OCTOBER 1, 2026
RESOLUTION NO. 26-08 -03
RESOLUTION TO INCREASE METERED WATER RATES
WHEREAS, the City of Grant (CITY), operates and maintains the water supply system for the water users of the City of Grant and outlying area; and
WHEREAS, the City must recoup cost increases for operating and continued maintenance and upgrades to its water supply system, and must do so by the collection of fees for those purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the governing body of the City of Grant, Nebraska, that effective October 1, 2026 the water rates for the City of Grant shall be as follows:
Monthly:
$2.00 per 1,000 gallons (pro rata) plus monthly service charge based on meter size, as follows:
Inside City Limits:
<1” meter $19.00
1.5” meter $72.50
2” meter $129.50
3” meter $291.00
4” meter $509.00
6” meter $1,206.00
Outside City Limits:
<1” meter $28.35
1.5” meter $109.00
4” meter $764.00
6” meter $1,809.00
BULK:
Monthly Service Charge $10.00 plus bulk water purchased from the City at $20.00 per 1,000 gallons (pro rata) (.02 per Gal).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage, approval, and publication as required by law.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the provisions of the Resolution are separable, and the invalidity of any phrase, clause, or part of the Resolution shall not affect the validity or effectiveness of the remainder of the Resolution.
