2020 PLAN FOR OPENING THE GRANT MUNICIPAL SWIMMING POOL
The City of Grant has made these decisions based on the recommendations from the Governor, Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Nebraska Department Of Health and Human Services (NDHHS), and Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPD) and is doing the best we can to provide a summer swimming activity for the children of our great community.
- The Grant Municipal Swimming Pool will allow NO MORE THAN seventy-five (75) occupants at a time within the fence. This shall include non-swimmers who are just observing. This does not include employees, lifeguards, or safety personnel.
- Those seventy-five (75) occupants will be recommended to maintain six (6) ft of separation between households/groups while inside the facility.
- Up to eight (8) occupants may be in a group, but that group will be recommended to maintain six (6) ft of separation between other households/groups.
- The Baby Pool area shall be limited to NO MORE THAN eight (8) occupants at any time.
- All swimmers shall be required to shower with soap in their swimsuits before entering the pool deck.
- Parents, guardians, and waiting occupants may seat themselves appropriately observing the recommendation of six (6) ft of separation between households/groups on the area outside of the fence.
- No items are to be passed between occupants at any time while inside of the Swimming Pool Facility i.e. squish balls, basketball, dives sticks, tubes, toys, and so on.
- Benches and communal seating shall NOT be allowed.
- Occupants who are OBSERVING AND NOT SWIMMING inside the facility may bring their own chair while observing the recommended six (6) ft social distance between households/groups.
- Each occupant shall bring their own towel.
- No concessions shall be available.
- Each occupant shall bring their own water source (clearly marked with some sort of identification).
- No shared drinking fountains or coolers shall be permitted.
- No snacks of any kind shall be permitted in the Swimming Pool Facility.
- All Occupants shall utilize the main entrance for entry into the facility and utilize the baby pool gate for exit from the facility.

- This shall be a first come first serve occupant basis, not to exceed seventy-five (75) occupants at any point.
- At the end of every session, thirty (30) minutes will be required to clean and sanitize the facility before the next session shall begin. Occupants shall exit the pool for the thirty (30) minutes between sessions.
- All occupants shall have a signed waiver by BOTH parents or legal guardians on file before they are permitted to enter the Swimming Pool Facility.
- All occupants shall legibly sign in and sign out, being verified by staff that their respective waiver is on file and temperature is recorded.
- All occupants shall have their temperature taken before entry is permitted.
- Any occupant having a temperature greater than 100.4°F shall not be permitted to swim for that entire day.
- No use of the slide shall be permitted at this time.
- There shall be NO FEE to enter the pool for the 2020 Swim Season Only.
- No Season Passes shall be sold or available for the 2020 Swim Season.
- There shall be no public or private swim lessons for the 2020 Swim Season.
- Staff shall also have their temperature taken daily before their shift for the day begins.
OCCUPANTS FOUND TO BE IN VIOLATION OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS LISTED IN THIS DOCUMENT WILL BE GIVEN FIRST A VERBAL WARNING, SECOND A WRITTEN WARNING, AND A THIRD VIOLATION SHALL MEAN THAT THE OCCUPANT WILL BE PROHIBITED FROM ENTERING THE GRANT MUNICIPAL SWIMMING POOL FOR THE 2020 SWIM SEASON.
