Council Minutes - February 25, 2017

SPECIAL MEETING COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS

CITY OF GRANT, NEBRASKA

February 25, 2017

 

Mayor Michael Wyatt convened the special meeting of the Council of the City of Grant, Nebraska in open and public session on February 25, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.  Notice of this meeting was given in advance by publication in the Grant Tribune Sentinel, the City’s designated method for giving notice, February 22, 2017, and members of the City Council and a copy of their Acknowledgment of Receipt and the Agenda are attached to these minutes. Availability of the Agenda was communicated in the advance notice and in the notice to the Mayor and Council of this meeting.  All proceedings hereafter shown were recorded while said meeting was open to the attendance of the public.

Mayor Michael Wyatt announced the posting of the Open Meetings Act and its location.

Roll call:  Present Council members:  Bounds, Greenwood, Pierce and Mayor Mike Wyatt.  Absent:  Brueggeman.

Others present:  City Administrator Dana Harris, City Clerk/Treasurer Jessie Faber, Public Works Director Gary Beckler, Attorney, Phil Pierce, City Engineer, Tom Werblow, Engineer, Brent Burklund, DHHS Field Representative, Tony Martinez, Myers Construction Representative, Chris Myers, et al.

The motion was made by Greenwood and seconded by Bounds to approve the agenda as presented.

Roll call vote:  Yeas – all present. Nays – none.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Greenwood to approve the minutes of the February 14, 2017 meeting and waive the reading and seconded by Pierce.

Roll call vote:  Yeas – all present. Nays – none.  Motion carried.

Bruggeman entered the meeting at 9:02 a.m.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

Discussion on Water Services Outside City Limits – DHHS Field Representative, Tony Martinez, City Attorney, Phil Pierce, City Engineer, Tom Werblow and Brent Burklund, and Myers Construction Representative, Chris Myers each presented information the Council and public needed to help provide options they could see that are available on the water services outside City limits from their professional expertise.  These individuals also answered any questions that the Council or public had pertaining to the water services outside City limits.

 

Public Comment – none.

 

Mayor Michael Wyatt adjourned this special meeting of the Grant City Council at 10:35 P.M.
