COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS
CITY OF GRANT, NEBRASKA
June 30, 2009
Mayor Michael Wyatt convened a special meeting of the Council of the City of Grant, Nebraska in open and public session on June 30, 2009 at 6:44 p.m. Notice of this special meeting was given in advance by publication in the Grant Tribune Sentinel, the City’s designated method for giving notice, June 18, 2009, and members of the City Council and a copy of their Acknowledgment of Receipt and the Agenda are attached to these minutes. Availability of the Agenda was communicated in the advance notice and in the notice to the Mayor and Council of this meeting. All proceedings hereafter shown were recorded while said meeting was open to the attendance of the public.
Mayor Wyatt announced the posting of the Open Meetings Act and its location.
Roll call: Present Council members: Hansen, Pick & Pierce and Mayor Wyatt. Absent: Pofahl.
Others present: City Administrator Tyson McGreer, City Clerk/Treasurer Jessie Faber, et al.
The motion was made by Pierce and seconded by Pick to approve the agenda as presented.
Roll call vote: Yeas – all present. Nays – none. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Hansen to approve the minutes of the June 23, 2009 meeting and waive the reading seconded by Pierce.
Roll call vote: Yeas – all present. Nays – none. Motion carried.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Action on Ordinance 09-06-02 Annexation of City Boundaries – City Clerk, Jessie Faber read the second reading of Ordinance 09-06-02 “An Ordinance annexing and identifying the boundaries of the corporate limits for the City of Grant; providing for the filing at the register of deeds office for Perkins County, Nebraska, repealing all resolutions or ordinances in conflict; and stating the date the ordinance becomes effective.”
NEW BUSINESS:
Discussion on Proposed New City Boundaries – Discussion took place on possible new city boundaries. No action was taken.
Discussion on 2009-2010 Budget – Discussion took place on the budget for the Fiscal Year 2009-2010.

Mayor Wyatt adjourned this meeting of the Grant City Council at 8:45 P.M
